Alejandro Viladrich

A. Viladrich

Buenos Aires, 1957. Argentina.

Grandson of the Catalan painter Miguel Viladrich, and son of the Argentine sculptor Wifredo Viladrich National Professor of Drawing and Painting, he studied atthe National School of Fine Arts Prilidiano
Puerredón in 1981. He begins his artistic training as an assistant to his father, performing tasks of casting and patina of sculptures until 1976.
In 1979 He altends the Rio de la Plata workshop, Capital Federal, with the teachers Alberto Delmonte and Jorge Rivara.
In 1980 Created the “Taller Sur by Alberto Delmonte, he continues his artistic training, establishing himself in an orientation of Americanist roots, of which the Uruguayan teacher Joaquín Torres Gartía is one of the greatest exponents of him.

To date he has participated in most ofthe group shows organized by the workshop.

Since 1981 he has been teaching plastic arts, conducting art education seminars and courses in philosophy and art history. He conducts courses and studies on pre-Columbian cultures and on the History of Latin America
