J.J. Aquerreta

Between 1962 and 1964 Aquerreta entered the art world studying drawing and painting at the School of Arts and Crafts in Pamplona. After two years, in 1966, Aquerreta settled in the San Fernando School of Fine Arts in Madrid and since 1983 she has tanght drawing classes at the school where he began his studies on these two subjects.

Among her numerous works, the most recent are Ultimamente (2009) at the Marlborough Madrid gallery and Contratiempo (2008), Sala de Arte Robayera, Miengo, Cantabria. Among her individual exhibitions, it is worth mentioning those of the Sen Gallery in Madrid (1973), the Gallery 16 San Sebastián (1984) and those of the Gamarra y Garriges Gallery in Madrid (1995).

In 2001, Aquerreta received the National Prize for Plastic Arts, awarded by the Ministry of Culture of Spain.
